Twinkle, a 4-year-old Chihuahua, came into Maricopa County Animal Care and Control in March as a stray. She had several health issues, including weight loss, labored breathing and stomach issues. Thanks to Hope Emergency Animal Rescue, our clinic team was able to test her for Valley Fever and Tick Fever, both of which showed negative. Twinkle’s health began to improve with antibiotics and she was eventually taken in by a foster family for continued treatment and has since found a new home through America’s Freedom Paws Rescue.
